Sitting at a computer all day can be draining. Your shoulders start to hurt, tension in the neck increases, and your wrists are stiff from all that typing.
Try these 3 quick stretches to relieve muscle tension!
Seated Finger Stretch
Place fingertips on edge of desk and press the wrists toward the floor.
Fingers will extend
Repeat for each finger (one finger at a time)
Seated Neck Semi-Circles
Find a comfortable seated position
Guide right ear toward right shoulder
Explore looking up or down to find the deepest stretch
Roll head toward center looking down
Guide left ear toward left shoulder
Explore looking up or down to find the deepest stretch
Seated Side Stretch
Reach arms over head
Grab left wrist with right hand
Inhale - reach up and lengthen both sides of the body
Exhale - lean toward the right (keep lengthening)
Inhale - come back through center
Grab right wrist with left hand
Exhale - lean toward the left (keep lengthening)
Inhale - come back through center
